Considered one of the best for surfing and bodyboarding, both nationally and internationally, Supertubos beach is known for its perfectly formed and tubular waves, hence its name. 

The crests of the waves are so long that they create empty spaces, authentic tubes, which attract professional surfers from all over the world throughout the year. 

The MEO Pro Portugal, an event of the WSL World Surf League Tour, has been held on this beach several times.
