Baleal
Baleal
For centuries, the western Atlantic coast underwent enormous changes and Baleal served as a fishing area and migration route for whales.
More recently, after the consolidation of the "tombolo" of Peniche, followed the formation of the "tombolo" of Baleal, which is well visible by the "tongue" of sand that connects the island with the mainland, turning it into an island that can be visited on foot or even by car!
Currently, it is one of the most recognized beaches in the municipality of Peniche, for its extreme beauty and unique characteristics.
