Archipelago Berlengas
Archipelago Berlengas
The Berlengas archipelago is a group of small coastal islands of Portugal located in the Atlantic Ocean. It is located at a distance of 6 nautical miles from Cabo Carvoeiro (10km from Peniche).

Among its natural treasures we can find sets of caves and rocks shaped like animals, such as whale rock or elephant rock. It is also a place full of important marine and terrestrial flora and fauna.

For this reason, in 2011 it received the title of biosphere reserve from UNESCO.

It has a marine heritage of great value, being the Marine Reserve adjacent to the area of greatest underwater diversity of the Portuguese coast, with the frequent presence of marine mammals, including dolphins.

It is, without a doubt, one of the great paradises of Portugal.
